Shredder

Correct shredding, problem-free conveying

Shredders cut or tear cuttable particles such as textiles, food or organic materials. At the same time, hard foreign matter is reliably separated.

The result: significantly improved pumpability, fewer blockages and effective protection of downstream system technology against blockages or damage.

Depending on requirements and the desired degree of shredding, different technologies are used - such as single-shaft or twin-shaft shredders.

How a shredder works explained

The pump conveys the medium and the solids it contains through the macerator. There, cuttable components are efficiently shredded by shearing action and transported onwards together with the liquid. Foreign matter that cannot be shredded is reliably separated in the integrated foreign matter separator - for smooth and safe system operation.
